Carroll Campion, M.Ed., Ed.S., LPC-S
Carroll Campion is a Licensed Professional Counselor and for the past fourteen years Carroll’s had the unique benefit of working in two distinct worlds; private practice and education. Her counseling work with families and individuals of all ages is based on supporting their strengths and their own abilities in order to help transform painful patterns of behavior into successful new ways of interacting. Carroll specializes in the treatment of psychological trauma using EMDR which stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. EMDR unlocks the central nervous system and lets the brain process traumatic experiences allowing one to find resolution around the trauma. She has done critical incident response and trainings for first responders, including fire fighters and FEMA rescue teams. She has facilitated numerous workshops and trainings where participants explore a wide variety of topics including; managing stress and distress, building resilience, and creating effective educational programs.
Carroll graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master’s of Counselor Education and an Educational Specialist Degree. She is the recipient of the National RAMP award which recognizes excellence in school counseling and is licensed in three states. Carroll is currently seeing patients and serving as a staff member for the adult intensive outpatient program housed at the Lovett Center.
